Your Implant Surgery
Once your jawbone has healed, you’ll be ready to come back to one of our offices serving Salt Lake City, West Jordan, and Centerville for your dental implant placement surgery. Dr. Anderson will place your implants, and they will fuse to your jawbone over the next three to six months. Once your implants are stable, your dentist can place your final crown, bridge, or denture.

FAQ About Sinus Lifts
How long does it take to heal after a sinus lift?
Healing typically takes four to nine months, depending on the type of grafting material used and how much bone needs to regenerate. During this time, the grafted material integrates with your natural bone. Your surgeon will monitor your progress and let you know when your jaw is ready for dental implants.
Are there any restrictions after surgery?
Yes, but they're temporary. For the first week or so, avoid blowing your nose, drinking through a straw, and strenuous physical activity. All of these can create pressure that may disrupt the graft. If you smoke, you'll be advised to stop long before and after the procedure, as smoking significantly slows healing. Dr. Anderson will give you detailed aftercare instructions to help ensure a smooth recovery.
Who should perform a sinus lift?
Because of how close the surgical site is to the sinus cavity, it's important to choose a provider who has the training, imaging technology, and surgical experience to handle the procedure safely. Dr. Anderson is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, making him a prime choice to perform this procedure.
